Jessie Austin Orr

Here is the first offering of 24 year old Jessie Austin Orr of Arkansas. This cd is a great listen and showcase of the talents Jessie has to offer. All songs were written, arranged and produced by Jessie. Add to this that Jessie plays all the instruments as well as handling the vocals makes this a truly impressive project.
He opens the cd with No Doubt In My Mind. A mild blues rock song with a great feel. Boogie Man follows and is a slower mid tempo song. It is well arranged and written. Sun Goes Down follows and is a slow tempo song which works as a soft rock song as well as blues. All In follows and is a jazzy blues sounding instrumental song. It features some real nice guitar playing. Keep The Faith is next and is a favorite of mine. It is a simple blues with nice lyrics at a slow tempo. Heart Of Stone follows and is a slow to mid tempo song with a great sound. Next is Straight From The Soul and is a nice boogie beat and is a very relaxing listen. A well written tune and great instrumentation. Take Me Back Home follows and is another slow tempo song with a nice beat and lyrics. He closes the cd with Trade Winds, a nice nearly instrumental song.
This cd is a nice listen. It is a great showcase of the talents of this young man. His skills in writing, engineering, composing as well as his versatility on several instruments is well documented by this offering.
